At Gamescom 2015, Razer has announced two new accessories that will include its new Chroma lighting software.
The BlackWidow mechanical keyboards were the first to have full “Chroma” color, and this time, it’s the Orbweaver and DeathStalker that are getting the Chroma treatment. The whole collection will feature a whopping 16.8 million customizable colors with a range of effects enabled through Razer’s Synapse software.
The Razer DeathStalker Chroma is a high-performance gaming keyboard, which unlike the BlackWidow, features chiclet keys for a quieter gaming and typing experience.
“The ultra-sleek form factor lets your fingers fly between each key, while the Chroma features allow you to express yourself with your hardware,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer CEO and Co-Founder. “Combined with the programmable features provided through Razer Synapse, gamers will receive what they’ve been waiting for.”
This keyboard rolls with three distinct backlighting zones, in addition to various lighting effects ranging from spectrum cycling, static, breathing to even the iconic wave. The DeathStalker Chroma is prised at $99.99 USD, and is available through the Razer store online immediately if not soon.
The Razer Orbweaver Chroma, on the other hand, is a mechanical gaming keypad. It comes with the same hardware as the original Orbweaver, though it also includes the 16.8 million shades.
This new machine features 20 programmable Razer Mechanical Switches, eight-way directional thumb-pad, an adjustable hand, thumb, and palm modules. The Razer OrbWeaver Chroma comes with a price tag of $129.99 US.
Both the Orbweaver Chroma and the Deathstalker Chroma will be included in the Chroma SDK for developers to bring in-game events to the products, using lighting effects into their games for a more immersive experience.
