Rare Replay is an amalgamation of 30 games, which were created by the company "Rare" and it was originally announced at E3 for Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox One. It just released today, August 4 and the real question is whether this game should come for Sony Corp’s (NYSE:SNE) PlayStation 4. Since it is a combination of a massive amount of games and it’s available for only $30, it makes the purchase all the more worth it so it should definitely make its way to the PS4.
Rare Replay includes games ranging from the year 1983 all the way up to 2008. The game contains 30 games and there might be more games available later as downloadable content. For now, the games included are: Jetpac, Lunar Jetman, Atic Atac, Sabre Wulf, Underwurlde, Knight Lore, Gunfright, Slalom, R.C. Pro-Am, Cobra Triangle, Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, Solar Jetman, Digger T. Rock, Battletoads, R.C. Pro-Am II, Battletoads Arcade, Killer Instinct Gold, Blast Corps, Banjo-Kazooie, Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Viva Piñata, Jetpac Refuelled, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. These games were initially Nintendo 64 releases and now they’re making their way to the Xbox One, which is great to see.
However, Sony fans want to see it pave its way to their PS4’s too since it's cheap and contains a large variety of games. Who wouldn’t want 30 games for $30? To make the deal more interesting, downloadable content for the game might be released for Rare Replay, which means more games will be added and this makes it even more interesting. "Rare Replay is a great way to experience some of the best games from the studio's past, and the new videos that document Rare's storied history are the icing on the cake; it's just a shame that you can't access them from the start," said GameSpot’s Peter Brown. If not all 30, then people will at least enjoy half of the games being offered to them to play. However, the game does take a lot of space on your hard drive and offers 10,000 game score to unlock; the latter being pretty much satisfactory for the fans.
Rare Replay should definitely be released for the PS4 soon. It will most probably outsell most of the games due to its cost efficiency and huge variety of games to play from. Also, Since Sony’s PS4 is the leading console in the market; this game would be bought more on Sony’s console than Microsoft’s, so it’s definitely a move worth considering.
