New Twitter Inc (TWTR) App For Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)’s Windows 10
It could not be a coincidence. It must have been a planned action by Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR). The company knew very well that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) was planning to launch its Windows 10. The social media firm thought it fit to join to launch its new app that is meant for the new OS. There appeared to be no pre-announcement to this effect.
Tailor Made
It is a different matter that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Windows 10 is getting reviewed by many with initial indication pointing towards favorable one. However, Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)’s pop up started about the new app only the previous night. The initial reaction is that the app is tailor-made for the Windows 10 OS platform.
The app sports quick access to videos, photos, and top tweets. All that features come without the user having to log in the site. One of the uniqueness is the Live Tiles is that it will offer different Windows 10 experience. However, the rest of the stuff appeared to be to catch-up with other OS platforms. The apps are more tuned towards mobile now-a-days than the desktop PC since there is a shift in the usage of the smart devices.
Some Features
Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)’s new app provides some of the salient features like uploading a maximum of four photos per tweet. That will be useful for those who use the multiple photo tweets. Animated GIFs and Vine playback are two key features. That apart, Vine videos, tweets with photos, and other selected content are now available for a preview in user’s home timeline.
Another key feature that Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)’s new app is that photos could be shared privately in Direct Messages. Apps for desktop were always out of sync because they were said to be outsourced. It will not be a surprise if other social media companies also announce new app that are meant to run on Windows 10 OS.
