Xbox August 2015 Games With Gold, Summer Spotlight Sale For Xbox One, Xbox 360 Announced
With July already wrapping up, Microsoft has given Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers a start with the Games with Gold lineup for August 2015. For the coming month, some new action and dystopian adventures with the games will be free and up for grabs for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
Major Nelson announced the lineup, and there will be the usual four titles coming for free for the two Xbox consoles. On the Xbox One, “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” will be free for the whole month of August. Players who are planning to get “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” in September would do well to take advantage of this new deal.
Meanwhile, the other title, “How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition” can be downloaded from Aug. 16 to Sept. 15. From developer Eko Software, this title is a new take on the zombie survivor genre that features more modes and characters that would make survival harder for the players.
For Xbox 360 players, “Metro 2033” will be free from Aug. 1 to 15. For the latter half of the month, it will be “Metro: Last Light,” which follows the events that happened in “Metro 2033.”
Apart from the new Games with Gold titles recently announced, Xbox One and Xbox 360 players can expect more than 25 games coming to the Xbox One via digital download. This is part of the Xbox One Summer Spotlight Sale happening until the end of August, announced via the Xbox Wire.
Microsoft has promised a mix of both anticipated titles and great indie titles. Unfortunately, gamers have no sure way of finding out the full list of titles that will be offered during the Spotlight Sale.
“King’s Quest” and “Squid Hero” are already available starting Wednesday. On Friday, “Magic Duels: Origins” will be part of the sale. These are just the games released as a kickoff celebration for the Summer Spotlight Sale. Expect more titles to arrive once Microsoft makes them available.
