Microsoft Corporation Reveals Xbox Live Games With Gold Offerings For August 2015

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has two great programs for gamers of its Xbox platform. The first one is Deals with Gold, which offers discounts to gamers with the Xbox Live Gold membership, along with new deals every week. The second program is the monthly Games with Gold, which offers games titles for free and is also available exclusively for subscribers of its Xbox Live Gold Membership program.

The Games with Gold program has recently built up a reputation of offering good quality triple A titles for free to gamers. This trend started with Sony Corp. (NYSE:SNE) who gave Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX) owned Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment’s "Injustice: Gods Among Us" Ultimate Edition for free in January 2015. This month Microsoft lands with a big bang with its recently announced Games with Gold line-up for August 2015. The list was announced over at Major Nelson’s official blog and has some big titles up for download.

This month, subscribers can get their hands on the widely popular tactical action game from Konami Corp. (OTCMKTS:KMNCY) "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes". The game is a prologue to the upcoming game, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain", which will be available in August 2015.

The second game being offered for Xbox One users is the open world zombie basher “How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition” available from August 16 to September 15, 2015.

On the Xbox 360 side, users are going to get lucky this month, as there are big titles up for grabs. The Metro series of games are available for Xbox 360 users and they can download the post-apocalyptic first person shooter called "Metro 2033" and "Metro Last Light". The game was well received by critics and fans. Metro 2033 is available through the program from August 1 to 15, while Metro Last Light will be available from August 16 to September 1.

These games are only available through the digital storefront, Xbox Live Store, and are only free for active members of the Xbox Live Gold Membership program.
