Wii U's ZombiU coming to other consoles and PC

The Wii U exclusive ZombiU, which launched with the console, will be making its way to current gen consoles and PC on August 18th.

The game is being renamed to Zombi and will only be released digitally, according to Ubisoft.

There will be some differences between this port and the original Wii U title. For starters, Zombi will not have a multiplayer component as that required the Wii U gamepad.

The game’s minimap is now on the main screen and there is a dedicated button to look in your backpack, though the game still doesn’t pause while you browse your supplies.

Zombi also offers “small technical improvements on what was already there — the faster load times, and the small changes to controls.”

The port also gives players access to two new melee weapons, a shovel and a nail bat, and a the choice to shine a wider and stronger beam from their flashlight, though that will use up more battery life and attract zombies.

Zombi will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on August 18th.
