PS4 News this week from around the World Wide Web includes a Black Ops 3 game mode update, Destiny's upgraded Taken King loot and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain on Sony's new-gen console.
KONAMIMetal Gear Solid 5 on PS4 has some impressive console stats
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 public beta kicks off soon on PS4 and will include a range of online multiplayer game modes.
Demolition is set to return this year, and will be playable alongside six other modes in the beta, including:
Team Deathmatch
Domination
Demolition
Kill Confirmed
Hardpoint
Capture the Flag
Search & Destroy
Two key points have been raised by developers Treyarch before heading into the beta, there will be gated progression caps along the way and that Arena won’t be available.
The three maps set to be included in the beta have also been revealed and will include:
Hunted: This big game hunting lodge is situated beneath a waterfall in the lush mountains of Ethiopia, where rugged terrain opens up to long sightlines and a stealthy underwater pathway.
Combine: Set in the remote Egyptian Sahara, this vertical farming and sustainability research facility plays fast and frenetic with tight interiors, an open middle and a dangerous flank path.
Evac: An abandoned emergency evacuation zone atop an overgrown rooftop in the middle of Singapore’s flooded quarantine zone.

Destiny will see big changes when it comes to how The Taken King's economy works, Bungie have revealed.
This will directly affect how players upgrade and buy their gear, first of all most of the materials need to make tweaks are set to be compressed into armour materials.
Existing stockpiled materials in players inventories can be exchanged when The Taken King arrives.
Legendary armour, meanwhile, will be purchased using Legendary Marks, a consolidation of Vanguard and Crucible Marks.
In other related Destiny news, design lead James Tsai told Game Informer that modifiers look set to become more personalised with new combinations planned for each week.
Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on the PS4 now runs at 1080p and 60 fps.
MGSV will run at 720p, 30 fps, on both Xbox 360 and PS3, while the PC version of the game supports 4K resolution at 60 fps when released on September 1.
A new description of the game from Konami reads: "The game itself spans a huge, open world setting and greatly expands the series’ famed sneaking elements.
"Likewise, a host of new characters – both allies and enemies – tell a story driven by revenge as franchise protagonist Big Boss enters a series of battlefields following the deaths of his colleagues. METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN is brought to vivid life with realistic weather patterns and day/night cycles.
"Thus, players can adapt their tactics to match the changing environment, creating an intuitive and non-linear gameplay experience."
