345,000 visitors made their way through the halls of the Koelnmesse for Gamescom 2015 last week, setting a new visitor number record.
Overall the visitor figure is up 10,000 over 2014. Of the 345.000, 33,200 were trade visitors.
"The signs for a successful gamescom were very positive and the results have definitely exceeded our expectations," commented Gerald Böse, president and chief executive officer of Koelnmesse. "The growth in the number of visitors and exhibitors and the expanded exhibition surface combined with the measures to improve the quality of the event are important components for the permanent and sustainable success of gamescom.
"We are very satisfied with gamescom 2015, because we were once again able to offer the trade visitors an international industry meeting place and gaming fans from all over the world a unique event."
Get ready for it all to happen again next year, once again back in Cologne only now a few weeks later on August 17 to 21.
