Review: Microsoft Lumia 640 XL

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Full disclosure…i don’t have much experience with any kind of Windows Phones. The extent of my experience comes in the form of store displays. When AT&T sent me the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL…i was pretty pumped.

I popped this box open and the first thing i saw was a nice…big display. The screen clocks in at 5.7 inches.

Now, booting this phone up for the first time took a few minutes, as it needed to install updates for some stock apps…along with a few other things.

When i got it booted up finally i was greeted with a bunch if colorful…moving widgets on the home screen.

Once i got them more customized, i would have to say…the widgets were my favorite thing about the phone. As an iOS user…you get kind of use to your apps just kind of sitting there.

I had one updated me on Facebook notifications and things, another with the temperature and weather…and my favorite, the Cortana widget giving me a flow of news.

These are customizable, and of you don’t like one…you can get rid of it.

So i mentioned Cortana up there…and i want to touch on that for a second…Cortana seems to have much more personality than Siri.
