Warhammer 40,000: Regicide – Steam Early Access and more

Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is available on Steam in a very polished Early Access state. The community is still hunting a few bugs and sharing ideas about the direction they would like Hammerfall Publishing to pursue and features they want implemented. The development staff has been very receptive to these ideas. This reinforces exactly what Steam Early Access can be, when it’s done properly.

A lot of consumer’s are questioning, what exactly is Warhammer 40,000: Regicide? Is it just going to be some kind of Battle Chess: Game of Kings spiritual successor? Regicide actually comes from an author of the Warhammer 40K Universe by the name of Dan Abnett. His works which discusses the game of Regicide in detail are the Eisenhorn Trilogy and Straight Silver.

While Regicide does utilize some chess strategy elements, it also adds in several Warhammer 40Kdynamics. Ever wish you could kill and destroy those pesky pawns? Well now you can. Kill everything with bolter fire, including the King. This is so much more than a Battle Chess spiritual successor. Although it does have a few elements present. Take a look at this kill trailer to see actual in game footage.
